Desert Spa Adventure: Living It Up in Las Vegas
By Maryann Hammers and Matthew Link, OutTraveler
A mere 17 miles from naughty Las Vegas nightlife, gondolas drift along a two-mile-long lake ringed by sandy beaches, golf courses, and palm trees. Lake Las Vegas -- a three-year-old resort made up of luxury residences, condominium-hotels, an upscale village, and two flagship hotels -- is a low-key alternative to the Strip. At sunset, take in jazz concerts on the shore or movies under the stars.

HX Gay and Lesbian Travel Expo: Gay Las Vegas
A trip across the United States - One minute at a time
By Ross von Metzke
Fifty travel experts, one ballroom and a stiff drink. Anything can happen, right? Though I'm thrilled by prospects of sailing to Tahiti with 15 of my nearest and dearest, I must say, some of my most pressing questions were of a slightly more tawdry nature. Today we find out how to stumble home from the Stratosphere in Vegas and why my Charleston will get me nowhere in the Palm Springs Follies.

Travel Talk with Thelma Houston
Legendary disco diva dishes about the best of Las Vegas
By Duane Wells
Thelma Houston, the bold, soulful voice behind the dance classic 'Don’t Leave Me This Way', has an album of new material out and she’s never sounded better. I caught up with the Grammy-winning dance diva to talk travel; specifically gay favorite Las Vegas. From encounters with Barbra Streisand at Caesar’s Palace to after hours at the slots, Houston opened to doors to her unfettered view of the best the Vegas Strip and beyond have to offer.

Travel Diaries: Las Vegas – Day Three
By Duane Wells
It’s time to go home. Day three in Las Vegas and I feel like I’ve been thrown into the eye of a glitzy storm and come out on the other side a tad bit tired but sated with good food, great entertainment and more bright lights than I can count. I actually can’t imagine spending 48 hours in a place with any more razzle dazzle than Las Vegas, but then again, that’s the whole point of Las Vegas it seems.

Travel Diaries: Las Vegas – Day Two
By Duane Wells
It’s always the eighth or twentieth drink that kills you, wouldn’t you agree? I’m already worse for the wear as a result of my visit. The Las Vegas Gay Pride Festival is taking place today and I had planned to go, but before I could take two steps outside the lobby doors of the Paris Las Vegas Hotel a wave of heat overcame me, leading me to decide to show my pride in true gay fashion by spending the day shopping… INDOORS!

Travel Diaries: Las Vegas – Day One
By Duane Wells
Touchdown Las Vegas! Day one and I'm on my way to Las Vegas for a weekend excursion. Before this day is over I will have survived a bubbly gaggle of bachelorette party revelers, nibbled on Pan Asian cuisine, sampled a decadent snack while enjoying a classic Vegas sextravaganza, dined on 'stacked' surf & turf, downed copious amounts of vodka and mingled on a dancefloor or two. My, my what a difference twelve short hours can make in one's life.

Vegas Bets on Bette
The Divine Miss M to Replace Celine Dion in 2008
By Duane Wells
For the past few years, gays from all over the world have made the pilgrimage to Las Vegas to take in Celine Dion’s spectacle with the same fervor with which religious zealots make a pilgrimage to Mecca. Now Caesar’s is betting that the same gay audiences who sang along with Celine at show after show will now sing along to the tunes of the truly divine Miss Bette Midler who will be filling Dion's mighty big pumps beginning February, 2008.

Las Vegas Bets on Gay Visitors
By Ed Walsh
America's city of lights has long had a well-deserved reputation for its over-the-top heterosexuality. But the love that dare not speak its name has remained mostly hidden in plain sight amid the glitz and glamour that put Vegas on the map. But despite its low profile gay community, Las Vegas has long been a favorite destination for gay travelers.
